South Chiltern Choral Society were delighted that Bob Chilcott joined the choir for a singing day on Saturday 22nd June at the Caversham Heights Methodist Church.

There were over 80 singers including visitors from other choirs and by the end of the day we all felt like a cohesive choir having learned so much together.  The repertoire selection was diverse and engaging.  Bob is a very well loved modern choral composer and he took the choir through his Little Jazz Mass and a song from his Five Days that changed the world.

Bob’s guidance brought out the best in every singer. His ability to create a warm, inclusive atmosphere allowed everyone to feel comfortable and confident making the day enjoyable and educational.
